What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business offers sex and relationship therapy, embodiment and sexuality coaching, and sex education. We work from an antiracist, LGBTQ affirming, fat-positive, and sex-positive lens. Our clients are primarily people who have been marginalized, who need a safe place to be accepted for who they are and a path to emotional balance, good sexual and emotional relationships, and healing around whatever is there for them.
Tell us about yourself
I have always enjoyed discussing sex and sexuality and bringing pleasure to people who have had trouble accessing it or have been marginalized due to their identity, body type, etc.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We have grown to a team of 9 and continue to receive large numbers of referrals for therapy and coaching.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The risk-taking around financial investments like buying an office or working to build a new income stream can be quite frightening.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn to delegate.
- Follow what makes you feel truly alive.
- Don't let fear drive your decisions (with that said, also be realistic).
