The Outdoor Biz Podcast, where I gather around the mic with Outdoor Industry entrepreneurs, brand leaders, founders, and enthusiasts to share stories from the wild, the startup files, and the retail aisles. My guests offer actionable advice to land your ideal industry gig, grow your outdoor career, or plan your next big adventure. New episodes drop every Tuesday.

Tell us about yourself

My experience in the outdoor, adventure travel and over-landing space has allowed me to build excellent relationships with the great leaders of these industries. On my podcast, I share origin stories from leaders of global organizations like UnCruise Adventures, Eagle Creek, Colorado Teardrops, and others. We discuss their professional advice on growing outdoor adventure careers as well as entertaining stories about exploring nature with 7000+ monthly followers. Publishing my podcast has also given me the opportunity to share great stories, stay abreast of the latest digital skills required to produce, publish and promote a podcast and remain current with technology, equipment, and market advancements within outdoor sports.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating a podcast with over 7000 listeners a month.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being told no. Ignore it and just go for it every day. Put in the work and grind each and every day to achieve your dreams.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Commit, go all in, all the time.
  2. Put in the work, and grind every day towards your goal.
  3. Have fun, find joy, take breaks, and go on adventures.
