What's your business, and who are your customers?

My salon is a private one-chair studio nestled in Old Seminole Heights. I specialize in low-maintenance haircuts crafted for the individual. The health of my clients is of utmost importance, so I only use clean, non-toxic hair products. Everyone deserves to have time to relax and unwind, so I only see one person at a time. Since my salon is private, clients truly feel as if they can be themselves.

Tell us about yourself

It's truly amazing to be able to change someone's life from something as simple and beautiful as a haircut. In a world where we are all so busy, my goal is to take the guesswork out of my hair for my clients. I want to simplify their daily routines so that when they wake up, their hair looks amazing without much effort. Low-maintenance haircuts are my favorite.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I restructured the way I ran my business after the pandemic began. I am so proud to serve my clients better because of that. I have many digital systems in place in order to provide a better previsit as well as post-visit.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Setting boundaries can be extremely difficult, especially when you love what you do. It is so important, though, in order to not have burnout. As they say, you can't pour from an empty cup.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Find what services light you up and create a business around those.
Don't be afraid to be yourself. You'll attract those who love you for it.
Boundaries are healthy and important. You end up being a better business owner when you give yourself time to step away and enjoy other aspects of your life.
