What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is called The Lightness Of Being™. It is a sanctuary for people to come to heal physically, mentally & emotionally. The services offered here are Reiki, Sound Vibrational Therapy, 1:1 private Yoga classes, group meditation classes, Reiki practitioner trainings, and more!
Tell us about yourself
It all started with Reiki - Reiki found me. It had been calling me for years, but it took me time to open up to receiving it. Once I tried a session, my life was changed forever. I felt the calling to learn how to become a Reiki Practitioner. Once I had finished my trainings, doors opened for me to start my own business, renting a room inside my friend's brand-new wellness center. I was working part-time while working a full-time government job. After 5 years, I was able to quit my 9-5 to pursue my Reiki business full-time. It has been a success. Dreams do come true!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a thriving business and beautiful space that helps people heal on a daily basis. Nothing is better than that.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
That everything comes back to me. Every decision is mine to make. Being financially responsible for many things.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
It depends on the type of business, but I'd say don't rush your process, don't let the opinions of others sway you, especially if they aren't business owners themselves & do what you LOVE!
