What's your business, and who are your customers?

The Junkluggers of Lehigh Valley is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional junk removal, providing sustainable disposal services for homes and businesses. Our friendly, professionally trained, licensed, and insured employees specialize in removing, recycling, or donating unwanted residential, commercial, and industrial items. We partner with local charities to ensure that most of the items we take find a new home, and we provide you with a tax-deductible receipt for any items we can donate on your behalf. Established in 2004, The Junkluggers strives to eliminate 100% of reusable waste from landfills by 2025. We believe that it's critical to take care of our planet today to ensure a bright future for our children tomorrow.

Tell us about yourself

I decided to bring Junkluggers here, as I have been a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley. I believe The Junkluggers will bring a positive impact as I develop relationships with local not-for-profit organizations that can benefit from gently used items that need a second home.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is helping out our community, taking junk away, and giving back to those who need it. This is all while reducing waste by recycling and keeping junk out of landfills!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is always having grit all of the time. That means you must be prepared to fail, fail again, and then fail again without throwing in the towel and thinking it's time to head back to your corporate desk job and a stable paycheck. However, if you never say die, don't give up, and nurture the business, you will succeed in whatever you do.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make a positive impact on the world in whatever you do.
  2. Always strive to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
  3. Be your best with every job taken, every decision made, and every person you encounter.
