What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a club that curates interesting events for Horsewomen. We host both public and exclusive events. Public events are open to everyone and anyone who wants to learn about a variety of topics with a variety of speakers who are experts in their field. This includes webinars, workshops, and live events. Our Exclusive special events are invite-only! These events demonstrate the very spirit of our business classy women wanting to learn, wanting to collaborate, and sip on whisky while engaging in a dynamic conversation. Of course, horsewomanship is threaded throughout! We truly want to engage horsewomen in any profession or occupation seeking to up their game!
Tell us about yourself
Elan and Becky, co-owners of The Horsewoman's club, became friends through their passion for horses and learning. We quickly realized that beyond our interest in horses, we share a common path of investing in professional development and a common entrepreneurial spirit. We started this business with an exclusive club "feel" to build events that supported learning, inquisitiveness, and collaboration with like-minded women. We are gathering women who are charismatic, interesting, and professional, wrapped up in dedication to horsewomanship, and who is just a bit sassy.
We are motivated by all the amazing women we meet! Each woman brings a special skill set to the table with experience, talent, and personality we love collaborating and connecting with them!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
2021 was our first year and just the start of great things to come! We hosted our inaugural "It Starts With Us" exclusive invite-only event, and it was a huge success. We were wildly inspired by the women that we got to share time with that weekend and look forward to being inspired by many more amazing women!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
We both have full-time demanding jobs, and along with managing The Horsewoman's Club, we also enjoy spending time investing in our horsewomanship. It can be a balancing act at times, but we always give 110%!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- If you have a dream and see the opportunity - Go for it!
- Collaborate with others and build strong connections! Everyone has something to learn from.
- Remember 'why' you started! This will keep the momentum going during difficult times.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
The Horsewoman's Club envelopes our passion for connecting with people and horses. We are excited for what the next few years with bring and look forward to connecting with many more amazing women!
