Tell us about yourself
I grew up believing that I was going to be a lawyer because of my family background. But exactly when I had to make a crucial decision, life introduced me to a profound lady from the field of Psychology, Sneha Shah, who gave me a perspective and continues to change the lives of thousands of people day in and day out. Just one encounter with her turned into a lightbulb moment for me: I felt it in my gut: I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life, i.e., Make a difference. Exactly when I decided to pursue my Masters from the United Kingdom in MSc Applied Child Psychology from Nottingham Trent University. And after my graduation, I started living more of what I believed in. I worked for various NGOs, start-ups, Schools, MNCs, where I tried contributing to the field of mental health. I started believing that my life is a message, no matter how big or small the message is – but my life has to be a message. I need to be a verb. I need to tap into that inner voice and live my purpose. And gradually, I decided to create a project that I am passionate about. I wanted to be a voice that would be of impact and reach people even if they are thousands of miles away from me. That's when I decided to start my own podcast: The Happiness Project.
