What's your business, and who are your customers?

The Giggling Pig is an art studio catering to everyone. We don’t just teach kids how to draw or paint; we teach about kindness and compassion too! We help students to feel a part of something and make sure they leave with a smile on their faces. We inspire you to create your own future and teach how The Giggling Pig began ( it’s a pretty cool story).

Tell us about yourself

I was 19 when I moved to the USA. I had been hired as an AuPair. Over the years, I learned more and more that communities were missing a creative place for kids to call their own. And so began the journey of The Giggling Pig. Every day I am motivated by the students and partners who trust in us, depend on us and support us.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I don’t think there is one specific thing; instead, it’s more about all the hurdles I had to leap along the way. So maybe that’s my biggest accomplishment - I never gave up on my dreams, and I never will.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I’d say the hardest thing is not being able to clock out at the end of the day. If there is work to do, you have to do it. If you want to succeed - it’s up to you. It’s hard, tiring, a challenge, but the rewards will always out way the negative aspects.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Have a clear idea of what you are trying to achieve. Build upon it. Create daily lists of things to accomplish so that you don’t get overwhelmed. You will achieve more this way.

Find your tribe. Surround yourself with people cheering you on, Wanting you to succeed. Believe in yourself and remember that your thoughts are creating your world, so be mindful.
