What's your business, and who are your customers?

The Consulting House is a full-service interior design and project management firm specializing in construction, renovations, interior decorating, and home organization. Our services include all architectural and design elements related to both the interior and exterior of a home. The firm is involved in projects of all sizes, and we work with clients in ways that best meet their budget and time constraints. Our emphasis is on quality, value, and attention to detail while creating innovative, artistic, and creative designs that reflect a comfortable sophistication and timeless quality.

Tell us about yourself

Started in architecture at Cornell University. Always had a passion for art and design. Combined my passion with a business degree and work experience. I love what I do and helping make the world a more beautiful place through design. It gives me great joy to transform a space or building from scratch into a space, a home, or a commercial build-out that my clients love and couldn't imagine it being any better.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Having a great reputation for being professional and creatively talented results in happy clients that refer me and come back for more help in the future.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Always keeping the pipeline full, so balancing executing the work and developing new business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be responsive, organized, and professional.
