Creating Safe Space for Girls - The Butterfly Effect Project
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Tijuana Fulford, Founder of The Butterfly Effect Project, located in Mastic Beach, NY, USA.
What's your organization, and who are your members?
I am a Master Life Coach- My clientele tends to be women of color who live in under-resourced areas that are ready to walk in their purpose internationally.
Tell us about yourself
I founded and operate a Not-for-Profit Organization called The Butterfly Effect Project(www.bepgirls.org). Many of the girls that I assisted seemed to lack direction and purpose. Almost as if they were afraid to dream. After meeting their mothers, I realized the girl's parents had an abundance of untapped potential that they needed to utilize, and it would transform their lives.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing people reach their goals and be excited about it.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Funding and time management.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Starting a business is easy. Sustaining it is hard.
- Time plus energy equals progress, not money.
- Making a business does not make money.
