What's your business, and who are your customers?
Businesses hire me to triple their profit using no-cost strategies so that they don't have to work again. I've helped hundreds of businesses become more profitable, stabilize cash flow, and pay less in taxes through a combination of tax strategies, operational planning, and commitment to excellence.
Tell us about yourself
I initially wanted to be a lawyer. It was a long-time dream. When I came to the US at 19, I had to support myself financially and picked accounting as a major to be able to support myself financially and through law school. But somewhere in the process, I fell in love with small businesses. And have worked with them since.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Supporting business owners is the calling of my life: a business is a micro-cell of our communities and makes a difference in every life touched by that business. And through my accounting career and my book "Dream Bold, Start Smart," I've supported and encouraged entrepreneurship since. And that's my biggest accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Investing forward. I believe that I (and anyone) must always keep growing and learning. And It's not always easy to invest forward because it creates stress NOW.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start smart (and dream boldly). Do your due diligence (get my book for it) so that you beat the statistic and make it because your idea matters.
- Pay attention to cash flow. That's the only thing that matters on a day-to-day.
- Keep investing forward and do it smartly. Ensure that today is covered, and you plan the cash flow forward.
