What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is for fur parents that love their dogs like a child! I only use organic ingredients and make sure it’s all-natural. Not only are the products health conscious, but it’s for those who want to spoil their dogs as well.
Tell us about yourself
Well, I can thank quarantine for my business idea. With all the downtime I had, I found myself cooking a lot and ended up making my dogs some treats. Once my job called me to come back to work, I decided to bring the dog treats in since I had made so many. It ended up being a hit with my coworkers’ dogs, and I started getting requests for more treats. As an animal lover, I knew I had to run with it and haven’t stopped since!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to do something that truly brings joy to my heart. The love that animals have is unconditional. For other people to understand that as well brings us together.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being a one-woman show in the beginning. Essentially you’re every department until you can hire help. You must understand it’s not easy but remember your “why” behind the business to keep yourself going.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Networking is key!
- Celebrate small wins.
- Break down all goals into small steps.
