What's your business, and who are your customers?

We sell an online parenting course called the ABCs of Screen Time: the first course to answer ALL your screen time questions for littles ages 0-6. It provides an easy action plan to start screens smartly with your kids--one that follows the science, makes sense, and gives you more freedom.

Tell us about yourself

I am Jennifer, M.Ed./LMFT (blondie), an educator and licensed family therapist specializing in perinatal psychology and the brain’s first imprints in life. I worked for 20 years in education in both NYC and CA, providing social-emotional and academic support to students of all ages.

My name is Kay, M.Ed.-ET/P. (Brunette) I am an educational therapist who works with neurodiverse learners in early literacy and executive functioning skills. My career in education began 12 years ago as an elementary school teacher before I founded my own private educational therapy practice.

Between the two of us, we have four kids under the age of 4, and we became moms ourselves. We saw the tech conversation was starting too late as we watched our own BABIES scramble for our phones. We needed ANSWERS, and we needed them quickly. What age to start screen time, what to watch, how long is okay, and how screen-free do I have to be?

So we took our knowledge as educational therapists and combined it with the latest screen research to bring you our course: ABCs of Screen Time.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Supporting thousands of families to create a positive plan around screen time in their homes. We know that creating a plan early on will help their children navigate screens in a more positive way for their entire life.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Getting your information out there. There is so much information for parents to sift through today that it's tricky to get your message through all of the noise.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Understand your audience, put efficient systems in place early, continue to be creative and try new things.
