What's your business, and who are your customers?
Taylor Made Consulting Services is a small boutique consulting firm that provides professional resume writing services, document preparation services, career coaching, small business, and HR consulting services. In addition, we also sell retail merchandise that is inspirational and uplifting.
Tell us about yourself
Taylor Made Consulting Services was created to assist those in need of career counseling services and guidance. Originally, the focus was on helping at-risk populations access professional writing, coaching, and consulting services that are typically beyond financial reach. We pride ourselves on purposefully charging below market value rates for our services because our target market are those most at risk who often fall between the cracks of the systems in place for our society.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is receiving genuine and honest feedback from my clients. When they win, I win! I love helping others make their dreams come true!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is time and financial management. It's more than a notion to run a business. Entrepreneurship is hard but thankfully possible.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My advice to budding entrepreneurs and future business owners would be to research, hone your craft, and network. Understanding your target market is critical to your success; remaining current on industry changes and networking with others are all essential to starting and growing your business.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I'd like to encourage anyone who has a dream, gift, or talent to step out on faith and just get started. Someone somewhere is guaranteed to need what you have to offer. Starting is half the battle; showing up and being disciplined is vital, and never giving up is the law. If you can commit to your business, it will reward you in ways you never imagined.
