What's your business, and who are your customers?

Taste of Cakery is a full-service bakery. We assist with weddings, baby showers, birthdays, and more.

Tell us about yourself

I realized that I love bringing people and families together. The sound of laughter and joy while gathering around the table over food warms my heart. It is something that keeps me going. At Taste of Cakery, we keep that feeling going. It's why we exist! We created a space where you can just be yourself, be free and be at home. I created Taste of Cakery to share what home felt like to me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Taste of Cakery has many great accomplishments, like working with some of the most prominent companies such as Amazon, Netflix, Disney, Atlanta Hawks, Arby's, and many more. However, As an owner, I feel like starting my business was my personal greatest accomplishment. I am grateful to be doing what I love every day. I have the opportunity to make a genuine connection with the community, and that is something I cherish.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is being able to adapt and pivot under any circumstances. There are many challenges that you will face; it's the decision you make that can make or break you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The top 3 tips I would give anyone looking to start a business is to just start!!! Take courses along the way, meet people and keep pushing. Don't be scared to fail, and work hard.
