What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a hairstylist. I mostly do cuts and color services and wedding hair.

Tell us about yourself

I have two younger sisters, and I always loved playing with their hair as a kid. I am creative and enjoy spending time with people, and I like talking about what they want to have done and then using my skills to help them feel and look great!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening T. Marie Salons was huge for me. I love the studio concept and the encouragement I can give other stylists to branch out on their own and start their own small businesses.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Sometimes there is a bit of a lack in routine, which is hard for me personally. To help overcome this, I use schedulicity for my clients to schedule themselves. It helps me communicate my availability and gives them control over when they come in as well. To schedule with me, go to this link.

I enjoy being a business owner very much, mainly because of all the wonderful people who are in my life as a result.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Start! It will never feel like the right time. You can start small and grow at your own pace. Just start!
