What's your business, and who are your customers?
Sweeties Candy Cottage is a community store that sells custom and gourmet chocolates, candy, toys, and gifts. We help people of all ages celebrate special occasions and holidays.
Tell us about yourself
I started this business to be happy and spread happiness. Seeing our customers smile is what keeps us going every day. I also am a single parent that needed to be there for my kids so I felt it was easier to manage my life if I had my own business.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helping people is what I enjoy most and of which I feel most proud. We also started wholesaling to many stores and have become a household name.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Working past the point that your body says stop.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Running a business takes not only passion but grit, foresight, good relationships, vision, organization, and high productivity.
