What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are Sweet Tooth Cottage Bakery in Powell, Ohio. We are a family-run bakery serving delicious and whimsical desserts! Our customers are our family! They are local and Nationwide, families and corporations. Our customers are loyal and wonderful!
Tell us about yourself
I'm a retired dental hygienist, wife, and mother of 3 adult children. My love of baking has always been a part of me. I began baking for friends and relatives. I continue baking because I love to see the smile on my customer's faces!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Growing the business from my home into a 2400 sq ft. brick and mortar bakery.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Every aspect of owning a business is difficult and rewarding at the same time. The hardest part for me was maintaining a consistent brand experience as we've grown and added more staff.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be passionate about what you are doing. Have a solid business plan. Know your customers and never stop listening to them.
