What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a fine art wedding cake and dessert table shop. We create visually interesting edible art. Taste is something we take very seriously, our desserts are created using the best quality ingredients available. Our clients are wedding couples who want to inspire their wedding guests. They pique interest visually, the dessert becomes a very interactive course.
Tell us about yourself
A love to create, it is really this simple. We love fine art, we love eating. Being able to share our passion started Sweet Celebrations.
Our motivation starts with our couples, knowing their story, understanding personalities and being able to create a unique food course that represents each couple.
This is truly interesting to us each time.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Evolving. Evolving and being able to pivot to serve our customers needs. We have been creating desserts for 15 years now, we are still interested and learning ,we hope this shows in our work.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Covid has defnitely been the most challenging part of owning a business. We have never experienced anything like this. Our business had to change drastically over the last 20 months to be able to continue.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Keep learning, invest in yourself - take classes with people who inspire you. Read books to inspire yourself, visit a museum. Have a mentor, we all need someone to bounce ideas off of, someone to keep us accountable. Be flexible. To succeed you will have to be.
