What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Business Consultant and Strategist specializing in serving business owners to refocus their businesses towards their strategic goals and improve outcomes, productivity and profit through business growth planning. I help Business Owners uncover overlooked benefits.

In the post-COVID world, primarily, I help Business Owners claim employee retention tax credits, which are often overlooked or misunderstood, even by many professionals in the field.

Tell us about yourself

During a pandemic, I moved continents (from Africa to North America!). I needed to refocus my business and build a new network. As a single mom, my main motivation is to build a supportive base for my daughter in pursuing her acting career. From a personal perspective, I love working with business owners as I can offer the unemotional viewpoint - I love it when our plans come together, and we see sustainable business expansion.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is being able to reconfigure my business and refine my skills during this uncertain period.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Staying the course is one of the hardest things for business owners when the going gets rough.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You don't need all the frills to start a business, don't feel pressured to have all the latest technology, etc.
  2. Take time to figure out what works for you and your needs.
  3. Build a good network. Talk about what you do as much as possible.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The transition from corporate powerhouse to entrepreneur was stressful and fear-filled. Over time with the help of mentors, coaches, and advisers, I learned to dig deep, leverage my years of corporate legal and business experience and create the path that I required to have more choices.
