Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Suncear Scretchen, Founder of SunSeaAir Wellness, located in Mattapan, MA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

SunSeaAir Wellness takes an energetic approach to health and wellness. Using tools and modalities such as Sekhem, Reiki, crystal energy healing, Ayurveda, chakras, IET, herbalism, color therapy, essential oils, astrology, numerology, drum journeying, and nutrition allow me to help others balance their energies and create more health and wellness in their lives. I call my brand of energy healing 'energetic wellness.' When your energies are balanced, everything falls into place.

My typical client is in search of balance, peace, clarity, and/or harmony in all areas of their life. I also offer business astrology services called Astro Analytix, and all of my clients are entrepreneurs interested in gaining insight into their businesses to create more prosperity and easier workflow.

Tell us about yourself

I've been dabbling in tarot cards and crystals since I was a tween, and a bout of Graves Disease brought me closer to my life's mission of helping others tap into their full potential and heal themselves. Through a combination of spiritual work and wellness practices, I've been able to maintain good health and learn to access my own Power. I believe that we go through trials to place us on our life path. So, assisting others on the spiritual path and helping them achieve success has been my soul purpose (or one of them).

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment so far has been launching an international retreat. This has been a dream of mine to take my healing practice on the road, and to be able to manifest it successfully, has been a pinnacle in my career.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest aspects of business ownership is having patience. It can take a while for projects to take root or manifest, and sometimes it takes a long time for things to align. So I've learned to trust the process and release the worry to create more flow.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Trust the process. As mentioned above, building a business takes time, and there are a lot of moving parts. Keep believing in what you are doing and things will eventually align.
  2. Use your intuition. While analysis, strategy, and ideas are keys to success, we tend to overlook our intuition as a factor. Learning to check in with my gut has been very helpful in easing anxieties and building confidence.
  3. Don't work so hard. Create time for play, find joy in what you do, and learn to pause. Pausing creates space to receive. Sometimes we give and do so much to create opportunities that we forget to allow them to come through. Allow the Universe to assist you.
