What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a craft cider manufacturer in Calgary, AB. We make premium cider. Cider lovers and even some who don't like cider are our customers.
Tell us about yourself
We started SunnyCider to tackle all of the urban fruit in the city. We were tired of seeing the fruit fall to the ground each fall. I love collaborating with people and businesses and providing a great product that people can use to celebrate things.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Making it through the pandemic. It was close a couple of times, but thanks to the government subsidies and such, we made it.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Realizing that you can't please everyone. As soon as you realize that, you can run a business. Not everyone is going to like your product.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Adapt.
- Be resilient.
- Patience.
