What's your business, and who are your customers?
Studio Orbita Futura is a Montreal-based creative studio offering laser-cutting services & customizable products. We have a variety of clients that range from small to large businesses, creatives, and DIY enthusiasts. We seek projects that require creative and critical collaboration to push ourselves forward as technicians, designers, and artists.
Tell us about yourself
I discovered laser-cutting in 2015 and, it quickly became an integral part of my creative process. I then started Studio Orbita Futura 5 years ago. I am motivated by the desire to push the limits to innovate from a pragmatic, conceptual or artistic angle on every project that I realize.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To dare to start my own business and to have worked with inspiring individuals and companies animated by the desires to express visions of the future.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Constantly having to navigate through uncertainty.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Endless curiosity. Listen & observe. Learn every day.
- Planning & budgeting. Know your numbers and find the right tools to help you organize your finances.
- Radical imagination. Dare to be wildly creative and come up with unexpected solutions.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I feel lucky to be able to manifest my vision of the world through my business and, I am grateful for my friends, family, and collaborators who helped me through the years.
