What's your business, and who are your customers?
Content creation and copywriting with storytelling. My customers are small service-based businesses, including solopreneurs. I have a unique approach to using stories strategically to accomplish your goals—no fairy tales, no campfire stories, and, positively, no bedtime stories!
Tell us about yourself
When I first came online, I did career consulting at http://midlifecareerstrategy.com. I've always been a writer. So when I studied copywriting, it came naturally. People asked me to help with their businesses and websites. Eventually, I made the change to focus on content creation. I still get occasional calls for career consulting, and I'll help people if I can.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
What's the biggest? My most satisfying accomplishment was writing my book, Grow Your Business One Story at a Time, currently available as an ebook on Amazon.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It varies from one person to another... and from one week to another! Mainly, the biggest challenge is realizing, "The buck stops here." You can hire coaches and seek advice, but ultimately you make big and small decisions.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Follow your intuition. Even the experts will be wrong sometimes. Nobody knows your business as you do.
- Make sure you're filling a genuine need in the marketplace.
- People pick up on your energy. If you're desperate, tired, or distracted, they'll pick up on it, and you'll lose them.
