It's the perfect place for brides to connect, motivate, and hold each other accountable while completing a highly effective fitness program.
Tell us about yourself
I've always loved fitness! I'm one of those people who genuinely enjoy working out. Yoga, weight-lifting, running, hiking, pilates — I love it all. It's my hobby and time to destress and care for myself mentally and physically. In college, I started to realize that my passion was to help women feel confident and strong through exercise. I signed up for a 200-hour yoga teacher training and received my first fitness certification in college.
Later on, I became a certified health coach, certified personal trainer, and certified nutrition coach. I realized that most of my clientele consisted of brides-to-be, so I eventually decided to niche down my business to primarily serve brides who want to get fit for their wedding in a healthy and sustainable way.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of my favorite things about being a bridal personal trainer is when my clients show me their wedding photos and share how amazing they felt on their special day! It always makes me feel so happy and fulfilled in my work. Another huge accomplishment is that I wrote my first book, The Little Book of Rest. It will be published and available in bookstores and Amazon on November 1st, 2022.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balancing my work with my personal life! I genuinely love what I do, but I have been making an effort to find more hobbies, so I am not always working. I've been spending more time reading books, watching my favorite TV shows, and simply disconnecting from work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find what you are most passionate about. What would motivate you to keep going even when it gets hard?
- Find a business support group. It is so nice to have others who care about your success and cheer you on along the way!
- Imagine your ideal lifestyle and plan your business around it. You don't want to end up creating a business that is running your life. Oh, and learn how to outsource early on! It will help you so much!
