Helping You Thrive Instead of Survive - Stacey O'Callaghan
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in professional training and coaching but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Stacey O'Callaghan, Founder of SJS Coaching Services, located in Woking, Surrey, United Kingdom.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm Stacey O'Callaghan, founder of SJS Coaching Services, and I use a blend of psychological techniques to help people thrive instead of just surviving in life and at work. Have you ever hit a period in your life where you've felt disillusioned? Dissatisfied? Discontent? Disconnected from the people around you? Confused as to why they are happy and you are not, even though you've achieved success or at least what everyone told you success was. Well, I help people who feel like that to make meaningful changes to their life and work so that they can thrive instead of just survive. Using my Surviving to Thriving Framework, I help them dig into what it is they truly want so that they can align their life and work to their unconscious desires, empowering them to act and build determination to overcome what's stopping them from thriving. As a result, they feel an abundance of happiness, life and work satisfaction, high performance, and resilience in times of continuous change.
Tell us about yourself
Research has shown that when people at the end of their life are asked what they regret most, the most common answer is not living for themselves, not being true to who they are, settling instead of achieving real happiness, and living a life based on other people's expectations rather than living the life they wanted. My mission is to help you live authentically and aligned with who you really are and what you really want so that you don't have this regret.
I believe that thriving people care about the impact they have on others and the world around them, so if I help someone thrive, they will go on to have a positive impact on the people in their life, too, creating a ripple effect of positivity and kindness, resulting in a better world for all of us.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have been interviewed on a local radio station and awarded the "No. 2 Best Life Coach" award. I'm most proud of the transformations I've seen in my clients, who report drastic improvements in happiness, confidence, self-love, and life and work satisfaction after working together.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There are never enough hours in the day to get through your to-do list, so it's a constant juggling act of re-prioritization and expectation management.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it! Don't listen to anyone who tells you you can't.
- Surround yourself with people who believe in you and your mission.
- Don't get bogged down listening to the noise of others telling you to do things a certain way, do what works for you.
