Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in spirituality, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sadhu Dah, a specialist in hypnotherapy sessions and paranormal activities.

Tell us all about your business...

My business involves teaching people how to cultivate their energy, crafting talismans/amulets, performing rituals for hire, performing exorcisms and hypnotherapy sessions. I even teach people magic, among other things that I offer in my services. My customers tend to be people with trauma or suffering in a paranormal crisis or someone interested in learning spiritual practices.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a spiritual teacher?

I first got started by training with Theravada Bhikkus and Bonpo Rinpoches, this lead me to develop a particular skill set that allows me to help people and save lives. I'm motivated every day by being able to learn more, teach people, and help those in need.

As a small business owner, what does success ultimately mean to you?

Being able to do what I love full time as my business and not having to answer to a boss or do something my heart is not drawn to.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a solopreneur?

The short answer is time management. Long answer, being able to balance responsibilities while still setting time aside to enjoy life away from work. That work-life balance is still something I'm trying to manage.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a small business today?

Create a website for the service you offer and base it around your audience, don't make your net too wide or it will break before you catch anything. Set realistic goals and as you meet them set new ones in line with the original goal, don't dream too big at first. Respect yourself and honor your time, don't sacrifice your rate or product to please a client or customer that is taking more from you than you are providing them, balance above all else, and equality and fairness in everything you do.

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?

Constantly reaching out to grow my platform. I'm talking podcasts, radio shows, marketing, and producing content that draws people in from the fringes.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?

I always schedule things at least an hour apart if I have multiple things on my schedule so I can pace myself and have time to breathe. I also take 1 or 2 days of rest every week where I don't answer calls or messages unless it is an emergency.

Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and best business resources/books?

Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation, and David Snyder, mainly for the tools and free resources they provide society with.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

If the metaphysical and occult interests you, please seek out a skilled teacher before just dipping your toes in and trying stuff. If you are uneducated in a field, gather education and practice under professional guidance before doing deep-dive exploration.
