What's your business, and who are your customers?
Spinutech is an all-digital agency with over 160 digital experts all over the United States. We work with clients seeking lead generation through all things digital. Our typical client has an annual revenue of $100M to $1B, but we certainly have clients that are above and below that threshold.
Tell us about yourself
Spinutech was founded when I was a junior in college. It was initially meant to be a resume builder and, over the past 20-plus years, has grown into one of the largest, privately held all digital agencies in the US. My role has changed many times over the years, and with our growth, the thing that motivates me is serving our team and our clients. How do we make them better every single day? How can I challenge our team and our clients to push to new levels that they didn't think were possible? That's what motivates me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To me, our culture and the amazing team members that we have is the biggest accomplishment. I know that is what everyone says, but our culture and core values are lived, not aspirational. Because of that, we have attracted some amazing talent and clients!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Making hard decisions. Yes, we get to make fun decisions, but we also have to make unpopular decisions at times as well.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Trust your gut.
- Build a personal "board" of trusted people you can go to for advice.
- Let the passion shine. That passion will solve a lot of problems and challenges!
