What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a counselor, coach, and professional speaker. I deliver mental health programs that empower leaders. My customers are mostly Human Resources Professionals, but my services appeal to anyone who wants to improve their workplace.
Tell us about yourself
I have a serious mental illness, which caused me many issues. The one that hurt the most was the multiple times I dropped out of college. When I earned my degrees, I wanted everyone to achieve the success I had. I'm motivated to spread hope and communicate that no matter your hurts, mistakes, or diagnosis, you can accomplish anything and live a life beyond your wildest dreams.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Getting paid for what I love to do!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Fear of failure, rejection, and disappointment when I believe I have an opportunity and it doesn't pan out.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do intensive soul work to block the messages we all have that tell us we aren't good enough.
- Be responsible with your finances and pay your debt. When you aren't a slave to a salary, you can take risks and pursue your business dreams.
