What's your business, and who are your customers?

We have created software to test concrete nondestructively, using sound. We work with concrete manufacturers and aim to distribute to the developing world as well.

Tell us about yourself

We discovered this technology as part of a research project at the university and immediately realized the commercial value! I am motivated by the understanding that this technology can seriously help over a billion people who do not live in homes that are built properly.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

It's often unclear which market vertical will be the most effective for the company. Pursuing the wrong people can be costly and disheartening!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be action-oriented. Just start building.
  2. Document the process.
  3. Be persistent. It sucks a lot, and that's okay.
