Hey, I'm Alexander Alimovs and I'm the founder of Automations.io in Manchester, UK.
Tell us all about your business...
We help companies automate manual and repetitive work.
What's your background and motivation to get into the solopreneur life?
It feels I had my entrepreneurial bug all my life! I'm motivated by building a company to make technology easier and accessible for everyone, as well as building a great place to work at.
As an entrepreneur, what does success ultimately mean to you?
Success for me is achieving your own goals, however small or big they are.
What are the top three tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a business today?
1. Think about sales and marketing from day 1.
2. Find a mentor/coach/community to help you on your journey.
3. Start and focus on a niche
What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?
Gym in the morning and a healthy sleep.
Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and why?
I'm following Dan Martell, he turned around his life from spending time in prison to becoming a 5-time SaaS entrepreneur giving out a lot of valuable information.
As for resources - IndieHackers community is a great place to start.
For anyone looking to start a business today, what would be the number one bit of advice you'd give them?
Think about acquisition first, product second. Your product is not as important as you think in the early stages. "Build and they will come" is a myth. Startups live or die based on customer acquisition.
Where can people find you online?
You can find my website at www.automations.io
I'm also on LinkedIn so give me a shout on there!
