Tell us all about your business...

We infuse our super tasty waters with real, wonky fruit. That’s bent, crushed, curved, knobbly, misshapen fruit which others say no to. By accepting the misfits we are helping to reduce food waste.

What's your background and motivation to get into the solopreneur life?

I'm from a faming background and after seeing 1/3 of fruit & veg go to waste in the UK food chain wanted to do something about it. Dash infuses wonky fruit to prevent it from going to waste.

As an entrepreneur, what does success ultimately mean to you?

Saving food from going to waste. Offering consumers a truly healthy product which doesn't have sugar or sweetener.

What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a business today?

  1. Don't start a business unless there is a clear need for it.
  2. A co-founder can be useful.
  3. Put the idea out there, test, learn, iterate, re-launch or innovate.

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly day in day out to help grow your business then what would it be?

Be positive.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?

Exercise, see friends, go on holiday - always listen to my fiancee, she's usually right.

Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs and why?

James Dyson and Charles Rolls.

For anyone looking to start a business today, what would be the number one bit of advice you'd give them?

Don't be afraid to launch, even if the initial product is not perfect. Get it out there, learn, make it better.
