What's your business, and who are your customers?
SMART REVOLUTION is a consultancy boutique specializing in innovative start-ups and SMEs. We provide strategic consultancy to turn revolutionary ideas into reality. We support private companies, as well as universities and non-profit organizations, in finding and securing the right funding scheme at the European, national, regional, and district levels. We then support the proposal, the development, the management, and the reporting of the project idea.
Also, we have a SMART REVOLUTION SECURITY branch to respond to the training needs of personnel travelling or working in medium or high-risk countries.
Tell us about yourself
The strength is the team. We are three co-founders: we were confident about our expertise but tired of relying on a very old, bureaucratic, and inefficient way of doing things. So, we decided to bring our mix of competences together for what we called a "smart revolution" in doing business and interacting with clients. I have been working in the field of European Project Management for more than 10 years, in Italy and Germany, in public and private organizations, and now, with my team, I am building my own project path on the sectors we care about and believe in the most.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To see my team members happy and motivated to do what they do and share a common goal.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Assessing and managing risks is of paramount importance. In our case, the diversification of activities, competences, and sectors has been the key to success.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make a very comprehensive business plan.
- Engage in a network of similar business owners.
- Be brave and believe in yourself!
