What's your business, and who are your customers?
SkinBeam Essentials is an all-natural and organic skincare line dedicated to making people, especially women, feel confident in their skin! My customers range from babies to adults!
Tell us about yourself
My name is Miesha Dickson. I started SkinBeam Essentials because I’ve struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation for most of my life. I tried almost every store-bought product most could think of, and nothing worked for me. So I decided to try making my own products, and once I realized the change in my skin, I decided to make products to sell to help others with the same struggle. What motivates me most is when customers tell me how much my products have improved their skin, this lets me know I’m doing something right!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment to date is getting my products in a store front for sale! At this time, they are sold exclusively at Tribute’s Spiritual Gift Shop located in downtown Bedford, OH!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is staying encouraged and being disciplined to work and build your business consistently.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find something you love or have a passion for and do a business out of it.
- Consistency will get you the results you seek.
- Never be too hard on yourself. Growing a business (especially alone) is extremely tough, give yourself grace!
