What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is bringing the best coffee to athletes of all kinds. Because the more people get fit and take the time to brew high-quality coffee, the more happy and healthy people there are.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a father and husband who has always been creative and hard-working. I want to be my own boss, provide for my family, and be creative in doing it. My family, creative passion, and faith in Jesus motivate me to do whatever I can to become a better person every day. If I do that, hopefully, success follows.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My wife and I run another business we started called Carson Media, and our biggest accomplishment has been making enough with this business to enable her to be a stay-at-home mom.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It isn't like the movies. Not usually. It's not a giant leap where you get to quit your job and pursue your passions. Real success and dedication is working a full-time job so you can support yourself, or your family, while you wake up early and stay up late to work on making your dreams a reality. Quitting is a luxury and not often one that is possible to start.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make sure it's something you're deeply interested in.
- Hone your craft. Knowledge is power.
- Notice what other people are doing. Don't do that, do something better.
