What's your business, and who are your customers?
Siwicki Fitness is a virtual fitness company where we offer both live fitness classes as well as an On-Demand program that you can access at any time, from anywhere in the world! I run live classes multiple times per day where you have the option of turning on your video so that I am able to encourage you, ensure proper form to prevent injury, and get to know you on a personal level. We have built a family here at Siwicki Fitness, and I love developing personal relationships with my clients, so they look forward to coming to every class! In addition to fitness classes, we also have developed meal plans with the help of Registered Dieticians to help rid your body of toxins and get rid of unwanted weight. We host quarterly Facebook groups to provide encouragement and answer any questions people may have regarding the meal plan.
The Siwicki Fit Fam is made up of people of all different ages. Siwicki Fitness’s goal is to constantly remind you that if you have a body, YOU ARE AN ATHLETE. Your abilities are endless. These workouts are not your typical at-home workout experience. The workouts are challenging but built with modifications to meet you wherever you are on your fitness journey. Get ready to escape reality for 50 minutes and push yourself to the limits. I am here to encourage you every step of the way. You will see results quickly and get hooked even faster! I have created a program that torches calories, melts fat away, and that leaves you feeling the energy you haven’t felt before. I believe fitness is one of the gateways to feeling your best self, and I am honored to be your vessel on this journey! LET’S CRUSH THIS, TEAM!
Tell us about yourself
At age 5, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. My parents instilled in me at a very young age a strong appreciation and dedication to nutrition and fitness. I have been involved in his sports for most of my life through college. I refused to let any diagnosis hold me back. I am honored to have a body that is capable of so much; I have always intended to treat it as best as I can.
I attended Dartmouth College and earned a degree in Economics. During my time at Dartmouth, I worked as a personal trainer. After I graduated from Dartmouth, I started working as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and program developer at Equinox and Lifetime Fitness. I have a passion for working with people and helping them achieve their goals. You never work a day in your life when you do what you love. I was honored during my time at Equinox to be ranked globally in the top 1% of group fitness instructors.
Fast forward to the global pandemic, and gyms closed. My wife was six months pregnant with baby number two at the time, so I knew I needed to be sure to figure out the next steps quickly. In addition to needing to provide for my family, I also wanted to give back to the local communities. Everyone was facing hard times, and I knew how important it was that people continue a fitness program. I started offering live classes via ZOOM during the pandemic. As participants grew, I worked tirelessly to ensure that the quality of my classes was top tier and that my program was solid. Siwicki Fitness was birthed out of the pandemic, which I am eternally grateful for. The Siwicki Fit Fam is truly my family, and I look forward to its continued growth.
My mission is to bring excitement and joy to your workouts while building strength and endurance you never thought possible. What an honor it is to be a trainer!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I built a business from nothing. I had no background in web development, all the technicalities of setting up a studio, equipment, live streaming, etc. I made it my mission to create a quality program that is easy to navigate and creates an atmosphere where people feel seen and encouraged virtually. I feel like I am always bettering my brand, and I will never stop.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
When you own your own business, you are never really off the clock. I have to train myself sometimes to pause for a moment. The last few years have been so challenging for so many. I do not take for granted how fortunate I have been during the pandemic. I am always looking for opportunities to grow my business, and the stressors of that can be at times overwhelming, but as time passes, I am learning more and more.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Never give up. Times can ebb and flow, just keep pushing forward! If you have a strong passion for what you do, stop at nothing to build your brand. Always remember the people that supported you from the beginning. The clients that have been with you since day one and helped get the word out. In addition to your hard work, your inner circle is what helped build you, never forget to show them gratitude.
