Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Liana Thompson, Owner of Simply Sound Vibrations, located in Wilmington, DE, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is vibration sound therapy. My clients are those who are committed to working on themselves to have a better quality of life, and those dealing with grief, stress, chronic pain, and insomnia.

Tell us about yourself

I got started in sound therapy through a series of events. Sound resonates with me personally and is used in my daily life. I love helping my clients through the use of sound and frequency. Learning how different frequencies are connected to our bodies and the world as a whole.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is establishing a brick-and-mortar space for my sound therapy practice.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things, I feel, is getting out there and letting people know what you do. The feeling of "being exposed" is daunting.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do your research on the type of business you want to start.
  2. Don't be afraid to ask for advice from other business owners.
  3. Don't forget your passion and why you do what you do. That is what will get you through the rough times.
