What's your business, and who are your customers?

Hi, I’m Simone. I am a Marketing and Mindset Coach. I help early-stage entrepreneurs and coaches show up confidently in their marketing and attract their ideal clients on repeat. I take my clients from feeling overwhelmed and stuck to creating profitable businesses that feel 100% aligned and authentic to them. I truly take a holistic approach to marketing and business, to ensure my clients are creating the life and business of their dreams.

Tell us about yourself

I can’t remember when I was first bitten with the marketing bug. If I really had to guess, it might have been when I was determined to be the top cookie seller when I was a Girl Guide or maybe when I designed and put on a Canada Day event for my entire community. Either way, I always had the drive to come up with new creative ideas and bring them to fruition.

My dreams lead me to get a ‘real job’ in marketing. I started my 15-year corporate marketing career, gaining new marketing experiences in a variety of different industries and start-up companies. Through a love of lifelong learning and sharing my passion with others, I stumbled into teaching and coaching. It was the perfect blend of sharing my positive energy and my excitement about marketing and helping my clients reach their highest potential. I started this journey over a year ago. Now, I’m honored to help amazing, inspired entrepreneurs/coaches and students step in their power and do the same - no matter what their story - to create a life and business without losing themselves. And trust me, it is possible.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment truly is my clients. I know that sounds cheesy or cliche, but truly, I love watching my clients uncover a limiting belief or take back their power and create the business and lifestyle they truly desire. There is nothing more powerful as a coach than seeing your clients create incredible growth and business results for themselves.

Oh, and going all-in on this business. You have to start, and that can sometimes feel like the hardest and most daunting task.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing as a business owner is stepping into your CEO mindset. I coach a lot of early-stage entrepreneurs and coaches who take their 9-5 pm employee mindset with them into their entrepreneurial journey, and it doesn’t work. We have to approach the way we market and do business completely differently when we’re business owners. This has been a huge shift for me and how I show up now in my business. I continue to cultivate and work on refinding my CEO mindset and how I need to show up in my business and my clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Hire a coach - I am not saying this because I am one. I am saying this because you need to have someone helping you with your mindset and pointing out areas/beliefs that you’re not able to see. Hiring a coach has allowed me to do more in my business in less time! The truth is our brains are designed to keep us safe, and venturing out in business feels like unknown territory!
  2. Focus on your client - Yes, you need to know your clients. This is so, so important. Who is your ideal client, and how do you help them? You need to understand your clients in order to serve them. When you show up truly ready to help your clients, you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
  3. Be YOU.- That’s right - be you - not someone else. You want to attract your ideal clients from a place that is 100% aligned and authentic to you. So, show up and let yourself shine because that is truly how your clients want to connect with you.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Being an entrepreneur is all about breaking the rules - why? Because there are no rules to business. Yes, that’s correct. There is no right or wrong way to do business, just your way. And once you realize that, you will be amazed at what you achieve.
