What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help fun businesses create quality, creative content for social media, and I also help freelancers get clients on Upwork.

Tell us about yourself

I first got started with a Google search, "how to make money online." I found Upwork, created an account, and the rest is history! But what keeps me going is definitely the freedom of time and location, essentially being able to work from anywhere at the time that works best for me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

It would have to be a tie between having helped over 100 happy clients on Upwork and the freelancers I get to help on the daily get their first clients.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Definitely having to manage everything - prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, as well as the dreaded nightmare clients that, while rare, do make an appearance from time to time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start where you are, don't wait until you're ready (spoiler: you'll never be)
  2. Put in the effort to start - you can't "just try" and expect good results.
  3. Always be learning - whatever it is you're doing, I can bet you there's always going to be room for improvement and learning something new!
