What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are an alternative investment company, offering our investors unique investment opportunities that fall out of the norm while outperforming the norm.

Tell us about yourself

I'm an entrepreneur. Both my father and grandfather were entrepreneurs. I thrive on thinking of ideas and opportunities and building a business from the ground up. I love developing processes and streamlining actions.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My two most successful businesses are investing in non-performing residential second mortgages and financing mobile homes. While they both have been very lucrative, the thrill I get is working with the homeowners. Coming up with viable solutions that put them in a better place while keeping my investors happy.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

For me, it's boredom. Once I create and nurture a new business and get it to a point where it can basically run itself, I get somewhat bored and want to move on to other ventures.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. Ask yourself what are the three biggest hurdles you'll be facing in starting your business. Then find multiple strategies to resolve those hurdles and backup strategies in case those initial strategies don't work.
2. Tell tons of people about your idea for your business and ask them to poke holes in it. Then get to work on mending those holes.
3. Come up with multiple procedures for every step of your business. Design a flow chart of every action and come up with processes for each action.
