Tell us about yourself

I have a passion for business, especially business operations and organization development. My passion really grew while studying organization development at Benedictine University. I learned the importance of research within a business. How that can shape an organization to be more sustainable in the long run. I also have worked for non-profits and small businesses and many of which could not afford top-notch consultants to help develop their businesses and/or their leaders. I have been shaping this business to do just that be affordable, flexible, and able to help organizations succeed.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Getting it started! It's not an easy feat. One of my services is actually to help start-up businesses to develop business plans.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I think for every business, the biggest challenge is sales and gaining new clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do something you are passionate about.
  2. Make sure you understand the dynamics of running a business (just because you cook well, does that make you a great business owner
    understand the dynamics of operations, financial management, and leadership). Taking a few classes, networking, and continuous learning is important.
  3. Have a plan. A business plan is extremely important because it helps a business create an effective growth strategy, determine your future financial needs, and attract investors and/or lenders.
