I'm an entrepreneur, professional speaker, chocolatier, creative business innovator, and risk-taker. Christian & published author. My customers are those that need an amazing speaker for their event or want to send a premium gourmet chocolate gift!
Tell us about yourself
My love affair with strawberries began as a little girl with a strawberry patch that my Dad planted for me each summer. I've always loved giving gifts, and later while working as a mortgage broker in Los Angeles, I began making potential clients my handmade chocolate-dipped strawberry gift baskets. Today, as an inspirational speaker, I enjoy encouraging other entrepreneurs to follow their dreams and never give up! I'm motivated because I truly understand how short life really is and the importance of having my priorities in the correct order: Faith, Family & then Work... This is the secret to real success!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
With a $1,500 cash advance, having just moved to a new town, I took my passion and hobby of chocolate dipping strawberries and created the world's famous line of gourmet-dipped strawberries, the renowned Shari's Berries, a multi-million dollar brand!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
You must live and breathe your business. You'll spend so much time at work, preparing for work or worrying about your work, so choose something you enjoy! This way, you'll live a "Fruitful Life!"
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just Start! Bigger is not always better.
- Seek wisdom, surround yourself with professionals, and be a business person of Integrity.
