What's your business, and who are your customers?
Actresspreneur Boss Club is an online shop where businesses and brands can customize their own merchandise. Bosses help bosses. Actresspreneur Acting Academy is an online school for beginners and young actors who need guidance navigating the entertainment industry.
Tell us about yourself
I started working on my business because, as an actress, I'm always asked questions about how to be an actor, which led to my start-up: Actresspreneur Acting Academy. Actresspreneur Boss Club came from my hobby of doing arts and crafts. I like making custom merch for myself and, eventually, expanding to make it for everyone else too. I am motivated every day by God, myself, my family, and my fans. Without their support and love, it would be hard to continue. Luckily, I am myself, and others love me for it.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is starting two businesses at the same time and making sales within the first month. I was scared that it wouldn't happen!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
It's hard to be consistent because there are always so many moving parts in building a business. It's much harder to deal with the haters that come with you working to be successful. It's also hard to build a team in the beginning because it's hard to find trustworthy people who are willing to build longevity in the business with you.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't let anyone alter or try to tell you about your vision.
- Be consistent and disciplined.
- Reach out for help when you need it.
