What's your business, and who are your customers?

SF Advanced Health is an integrative functional medical center. I am the Founder and senior medical physician, and my highly experienced holistic healthcare team integrates the best in evidence-based Eastern and Western medicine to identify the root cause of illness. We don't focus solely on treating only symptoms to be managed by protocols designed to treat the general population. We care about the whole person and provide proactive healthcare solutions focusing on reversing disease.

Through empowerment, personalized medicine, and relationship building, SF Advanced Health and I are changing the way medicine is being experienced.

Tell us about yourself

I am a nationally recognized leading practitioner of integrative functional medicine. I provide proactive healthcare solutions that go beyond conventional pharmaceuticals and invasive procedures by knowing precisely how to address the root cause of any disease. I founded SF Advanced Health in 2013 to bring together the best minds in Eastern and Western Medicine so that together we can reverse any disease which walks through our doors. What differentiates me from other physicians is my depth of knowledge and extensive experience over a span of two decades of practicing clinical medicine.

As an expert on cell function, I specialize in cancer prevention and reversal of most digestive, autoimmune, autonomic, and chronic conditions. With the philosophy 'Food Thy Medicine, Medicine Thy Food' at the center of my work, I place a great deal of emphasis on nutrition and optimizing every system in the body to work harmoniously together. I understand how to connect the blood, brain, and adrenal glands to work synergically and support the pathways necessary for repair and healing.

We work directly for patients as out-of-network providers and can assist them on how to receive direct reimbursement for services from their insurance carriers. I received extensive recognition throughout my career as one of America's top physicians leading the charge in changing the landscape of medicine.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is staying true to my mission, making the impossible possible where everyone is a winner and healthcare is positively being transformed.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is continuously investing in building your team, knowing how to take calculated risks, be innovative and not burn out.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Recognize what you do and do not know, and don't be afraid to ask for help.
  2. Network, network, network. Never stop investing in organic advertising. There will be times when you are anxious that business is too slow, and other times, you will be anxious that business is too busy. If you don't invest in building a sustainable business, you won't enjoy the journey of seeing a business grow and prosper with changing times.
  3. Build a vision board 5 to 7 years from now so that you can work backward and create a strategic plan you can change as needed. This keeps you proactive instead of reactive and helps you take calculated risks.
