What's your business, and who are your customers?
We help people who are anxious, stuck or overthinking to feel relaxed, motivated, and find their inner greatness. We do this through hypnosis, biofeedback, reiki, and intuitive readings.
Tell us about yourself
Moving to 5 countries over a ten-year period of time posed many challenges along with blessings. I developed an overwhelming determination to prove myself. My innate ability to see the big picture and the detailed pathways leading to the desired outcomes made me a sought-after commodity in the field of software development and systems integration. Additionally, my passion for empowering others made me an exceptional teacher, mentor, and leader.
With extensive software and systems development work in the mental health industry, I began to see clearly the connection between the flow of computer logic and the human mind giving me an insight into healing. My fascination for the brain, curiosity about my intuition, and desire to foster the inner power of others drew me to pursue hypnosis and biofeedback, establishing a wellness center, Self Empowered Minds.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Frankly, it's having people see their own potential, to realize that each of us has our own magic wand.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Accepting that we can only help people who are ready to change
that our modalities are not for everyone and knowing when to stop working.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Always create multiple streams of income.
- Be ready to work hard.
- Make sure to keep a balance between personal life and work life.
- There is no such thing as failure - only reflection on the outcome from which to grow and learn.
- Don't focus on the money. Focus on the service (or product), and the money will come.
- Make sure to market. A great product isn't a product if nobody knows about it.
