What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have a homemade meal delivery service, a Catering Company, and a Cheese & Charcuterie delivery business, and I also make and sell spicy vegan-friendly jams & heart-healthy granola. My customers are predominately in Coronado as well as several areas of San Diego.
Tell us about yourself
I have always loved being in the kitchen. I've worked in many restaurants over the years as well as private homes. After having my son and as a single mom, I wanted a way to be able to make my own hours working for myself. I love feeding people and being an integral part of my friends, families & clients' celebrations.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is my willingness to put myself out there in order to be able to thrive.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is all the hats I have to wear. It's a lot of responsibility with many sacrifices.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Clone yourself a few times...haha!
- Always return phone calls and emails promptly & politely.
- Love what you do with passion.
- Hire employees who have a strong work ethic.
