What's your business, and who are your customers?
Science On Call is a subscription-based tech support platform for restaurants. 24/7 help with POS, internet, Wi-Fi, online ordering, and more — just one text or call away! Our customers are restaurant owners or operators of restaurant groups or growing brands with multiple locations.
Tell us about yourself
I started my first company at age 11 (www.luisacastellanos.com), and from then on, I have always had a passion for entrepreneurship. I worked with several small businesses throughout high school and college and also spent time working in the arts. I absolutely love going to visit unique restaurants and coffee shops every time I travel. This is why Science On Call strives to always support these businesses and keep them up and running!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Growing a fabulous team. Every day I am impressed by the drive and passion my team has for what we do. My co-founders and I have built a pretty incredible culture that we aspire to grow for years to come.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being a business owner can be a constant roller coaster ride. Some days are great, others not so great. And things just get more complicated the more you grow. It's important to have people to go to when times get tough, whether that is a co-founder, a family member, or a friend.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You've got to love what you do. Passion goes a long way toward achieving success.
- Find great people to help you along the way! You can't do it alone.
- Knowledge is power. Never stop learning.
