What's your business, and who are your customers?

Scentchips are the Original Wax Melt, handcrafted since 1979. Luxury wax melts are available in hundreds of combinations...or make your own! We have a beautiful selection of warmers to elevate your space. Everyone is our customer because 'Fragrance makes you happy!

Tell us about yourself

I worked for my cousins at Scentchips in my high school years. I had just started my family when my cousins approached me about purchasing the business. My husband and I have now owned Scentchips for 20 years!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Surviving COVID shutdown, ensuing shortages, and exponential price increases! Happy to still be in business. Est 1979

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It is hard never to be able to turn it off. You feel responsible for your employees, customers, and every decision that is made.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Make sure it is something you are passionate about because it is a lot of work.
Try to borrow as little as possible.
Don't be afraid to try new things and be open to suggestions!
