What's your business, and who are your customers?

Savor Flavor Nutrition LLC helps busy people find a better relationship with food and helps athletes/non-athletes properly fuel their bodies for activities inside and outside of their training sessions.

Tell us about yourself

I suffered from disordered eating habits when I danced in college that lasted after graduation. I knew I needed to learn about how to properly fuel my body, and that got me to get my certification through Precision Nutrition. I'm happy I was able to heal my relationship with food and even happier I get to share that knowledge with others.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I'm happy to be able to help others in similar situations who don't know where to turn when it comes to nutrition. It seems like every day, there's a new diet trend that only leads people to feel defeated yet again because of how unsustainable they are. My goal as a nutrition coach is to provide my clients with the tools and resources they need to succeed so that when they're done working with me, they have the knowledge to continue on without me.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is time management. It's hard for me to set boundaries for work vs. playtime, but I'm getting better at this.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Star now. You don't need to have everything figured out right now. You'll figure it out as you go!
  2. If you've been thinking about starting your business for a while and haven't done it yet, what's stopping you? Dive deeper into that and then hit the ground running.
  3. Implement systems that make your job easier and that can be duplicated/modified for each client.
