What's your business, and who are your customers?
Sattwa Ayurveda aims to transmit the ancient knowledge of Ayurvedic medicine. Ancient Indian medicine, where the human being is considered an integral being. The people to whom this knowledge is addressed are those who are looking for a life of purpose, vitality, and love.
Tell us about yourself
What motivated me to follow the path of Ayurveda was the need to share what one day helped me to overcome a very difficult moment in my life. It helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and that is what motivates me to teach it so that others can receive the same help one day gave me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
In my case, my greatest achievement as the owner of sattwa_ayurveda is the fact that I am able to give courses, workshops, and training and to be able to share it with anyone who wants to walk this path that Ayurveda offers. It is a path that seems difficult, but the moment we feel the difference in us, we do not want to leave it. When I feel the gratitude of those who take the courses, that is what really makes me feel fulfilled on a soul level.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the most difficult things about owning your own business is perfectionism or believing that what you do is no good, and letting yourself be attacked by the "impostor syndrome" is very difficult and scary to overcome.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
From my line of business, the most important thing is:
- To trust that what you do is right.
- Educate yourself and never stop being curious to learn.
- Patience, everything takes time.
